Today good bricklayers are few in numbers. A laborer will soon progress to laying the line. This is where a bricky just lays to a line and the corners are set by a more experienced bricky. The line layer can earn £160 to £190 a day. He is only expected to lay around 4-500 bricks a day. The more experienced bricky can earn £180 to £220 a day. These are average south of England wages. The old school brickies are capable of laying 1000 plus a day. They are also capable of earning up to £300 a day. There is a lot of speculation about what a bricky earns. So now you know.
