Did edward want to tell Bella his vampier secret in the saga books and or movies of twilight?

He both did and didn't.

He wanted to tell Bella because he felt it was unsafe for her not to know. He thought that if she knew what he was, she would stay away from him.

He also did not want to tell Bella, because he did not want to alienate her. It is also against vampire "rules" reveal their existence.
