How do you catch rattata in Pokemon platinum?

In Pokémon Platinum, you can catch Rattata by exploring Route 202, which is located just south of Jubilife City. Rattata typically appears in tall grass patches during encounters. Make sure to have some Poké Balls in your inventory to capture it once you encounter one. Remember that Rattata is a Normal-type Pokémon, so use moves that won't knock it out to increase your chances of capturing it.
