The reason zoo keepers wear tan or khaki colored cloths goes back to the early 19th century England.. Kings and royals had “animal collections”. Which we now call a “zoo”.
The royal families would make the peasants care the animals. Peasant clothing consisted mostly of sack cloth with no dye. Therefore the color was tan.
When the ”Zoo” became more popular across England the color remained in order to identify the workers.
