Is 6 volts dangerous

You won't normally feel a shock with 6 volts. It would take about 30 - 40 volts before you would even notice it. Although 6v and 12v car batteries can throw sparks if shorted and weld the wire/tool to the terminals, and heat them quite a bit !! That may be dangerous.
