How is Allied Signal connected to Honeywell?

Allied Signal merged with Honeywell in 1999 and went with the Honeywell name. Mark Honeywell was the founder of the company in 1904 with his invention of the heat generator. In 2013, the company continues to acquire other technical companies valued at $1 billion or less.
