Crustaceans are covered with a thick exoskeleton and have a bilaterally symmetrical body. Crustaceans also have segmented bodies that include a head, a thorax, and an abdomen. The head and thorax are often joined together in a cephalothorax. The only appendage that all crustaceans have in common is two sets of antennae.
