How many apartments are there in the US?

There are not any definitive calculations on this but according to Ron Pickett, Telkonet's President and CEO, there are approximately 30 million apartment units in the country. Now you have to take into consideration that some buildings/complexes can have anywhere from 4 Units to 1,000 Units and no one has surveyed them all or even most so it is really impossible to know the answer for sure. I would estimate that it is somewhere between 400,000 to 600,000 but could be more or less...though around there.
