Where did realistic fiction originate?

It was first developed in the Roman era, it was then lost until it was rediscovered in 1862 by Lord Teldford. It as then been changed by many authors since such as Winston Churchill and Kriston Harrison. Today Contemporary Realistic Fiction or CRF is used by such authors as the Indian Sinita Bahji and the American Robb Fox. Hope I helped!
