How do you turn off an iPod Classic?

You don't want to disable it, but your iPod will be disabled if you get the passcode wrong 6 times in a row. Then it will disable for one minute, then 5 minutes, 10, 15, 60, 90, and so on.

If you've enabled the erase data feature, after 10 failed passcode attempts all the data will erase.
