Why were builders of Egyptian pyramids naked?

Most were slaves who were considered too low in status to wear clothes. This was dirty sweaty work. The ancient Egyptians were practical people aware that dirty, sweat laden clothing can lead to skin disorders. Better then to keep the slaves naked, healthy and capable of work.
