No. Like any drug, marijuana has side effects, including euphoria, greater sensitivity to touch, sound (especially rhythmic or melodic sound, i.e. music), and more, but it will not turn you psychotic, schizophrenic, or cause any other mental defects. It has side effects that persist while under the influence, but after the high has worn off, there are no noticable or dangerous lasting effects besides possibly sleepiness for several hours afterwards.
