In sims castaway for Nintendo ds how do you make the hammer?

You receive a chizel from Chef Butcher after agreeing to get him a sardine and a lime. In order to get the stick piece for a hammer, you must trade with Ms. Feelgood (located before Chef Butcher). There are items required for the trade of course. After you get that, you must get vines and a rock. Then go to the crafting table and if you have all of the items needed it will show up as the first item when you open up the contents.
