Thank you = Arigatou (ah-ree-gah-toh)

Good morning = Ohayoou gozaimasu (o-ha-yo-go-zai-mass)

Afternoon = Konnichi WA (kong-nee-chee-WA)

Evening = Konbanwa (kong-ban-WA)

When calling/Answering the phone = Moshi moshi (moh-shee-moh-shee)

Goodbye (Familiar people) = Sayonara (sa-yo-na-ra)

Goodbye (Close friend casual) = Ja-ne (jar-neigh)

Bye bye = bai bai (bye-bye)

Goodnight = Oyasuminasi (oi-ya-sue-me-naa-sa-eye)

How are you = Ogenki desu ka (o-ken-ki-des-ka)
