If you were to walk up to somebody and say "Mexican food," they would either walk away quickly or ask "What about it?" The first thing you have to do is form a complete thought as a topic to write about.

If you were to walk up to someone and say "Mexican food is inexpensive," when they got done looking at you oddly, they would know what you were trying to say.

So, brainstorm some quick ideas.

  • Mexican food is inexpensive.
  • Mexican food is delicious.
  • Mexican food is healthy.

Once you pick one, you use it as your paragraphs first sentence. After that, you just come up with three to six more sentences to support why the first sentence is true.

Mexican food is delicious. I like it because of all the seasonings that are used. The spicy flavors make it pop, especially when there are chili peppers. When cheese and sour cream are added, it is even better. The smell of the spices make my mouth water.
