How many bells is the shopping card worth for Animal Crossing City Folk?

first of all ou have to go into the city or town hall and go to the bellpoint, then enter in 10,000 bells in and the folling day you should get a shopping card in the mail but... you can only use it in graciegrace i think.....................................
