Why did your parents give you your name?

Your parents gave you your name so that you can be known or distinguished from other people or things.

Imagine if everyone was not having a name, the teachers in school would be very confused.

Most parents choose names for their children based on what they think are "good" names - names they like, that honor relatives, ancestors or others they admire, etc.
