If a puppy has worms can your kids get them?

Yes kids can get the small white ones (tape) from the puppy licking them in the mouth,also they can get them from a sand box or biting their fingernails, the family Dr. can give medicine for everyone in the family to take, but make sure you De-worm the puppy also.
