Just because he has long, black hair, doesn't mean he's emo.He admitted to self-harming back in 2009 when someone pointed out his self-harm scars, but he's past that stage now.

Despite being bullied at school for being 'nerdy' and bisexual, as well as suffering from a mental trauma, he's actually very happy; possibly the most optimistic person i've ever seen.

So no, Phil is not emo.
