Can fiber optics used for power transmission?

Fiber optics are primarily designed for data transmission rather than power transmission. They use light to transmit information and do not conduct electricity. However, there are emerging technologies, such as fiber optic cables that can also transmit power using specialized methods, but traditional fiber optics themselves are not suitable for conventional power transmission.
