WRAF stands for Women's Royal Air Force, which was the female branch of the Royal Air Force in the United Kingdom. Established in 1918, it provided women with the opportunity to serve in various roles during and after World War I. The WRAF was disbanded in 1920 but was reformed during World War II and continued to operate until it was merged with the Royal Air Force in 1994.
