Do the northern lights use reflection?

The northern lights, or auroras, do not use reflection. Instead, they are caused by charged particles from the solar wind interacting with the Earth's magnetic field and atmosphere. These particles collide with gases like oxygen and nitrogen, resulting in the beautiful displays of light. The colors produced are a result of these interactions, rather than reflection.
