Weight gain is still basically the equation of calories consumed to calories burned. If you consume more calories than you use up, the body stores those calories in the form of fat for future use. The form that you consume the calories is irrelevant to the body, whether the calories come from a glass of milk, or a glass of wine. If the wine calories add more to the total calories than you burn, then you will put on weight.
