How do you play single player on beatles rock band?

At the assemble band screen, only press the green button/A button on one controller, then press the + button on the same controller. Note that pressing A on a wiimote will make the Wii assume that a vocalist is playing, so if you want to just use guitar or drums put your wiimote to one side.
