On the 15th of April 1989, 96 Liverpool fans were crushed to death at an FA Cup Semi-final in Sheffield. The Sun is a tabloid newspaper, often writing sensationalist news stories. On the 19th of April 1989 they printed a story with the following headline:

"The Truth.

Some fans picked pockets of victims

Some fans urinated on the brave cops

Some fans beat up PC giving kiss of life."

The story was all lies. Many of the people of Liverpool stopped buying The Sun after that and still do not buy it. Many will never buy it again.
