What is spermatogoma?

Spermatogonia are the male germ cells located in the seminiferous tubules of the testes. They are the earliest stage in the process of spermatogenesis, where they undergo mitotic division to produce more spermatogonia or differentiate into spermatocytes. These cells eventually develop into spermatozoa through subsequent phases of meiOSis and maturation.
