Why does your 01 Harley Sportster 1200 die once it gets warm?

A likely cause may be that the enricher knob has been left in a pulled out position or not pushed back in all the way and the engine is now running too rich. I had this happen years ago with a carbed Sporty and it only took a couple of times for me to realize that once the engine was warmed up, the enricher knob should be pushed all the way in for the bike to run properly from there on. There are many other reasons this could be happening but that is the first thing to check for IMHO............
