I wonder if you are asking this question for a veterinary science project in 4-H, because I googled the answer to this question as well. I am working on the same project. What I have come up with so far is this, and I'm not sure if it is correct. Sight: A male goat sees a female goat acting as though she is in heat and responds. Smell: A male goat smells the difference between females in and out of heat. Hearing: A male goat hears the female goat in heat making different noises than the others. Touch: A male goat rubs up against a female to see if she is in heat and she responds. I don't know what to say for the taste...the only thing I could think of is just disgusting but it IS an animal, after all. Hope this is of help to you.

For taste, you could say that the mother eats her afterbirth after she has the babies.
