Can you ride a motorcycle without a voltage regulator?

if you have a charging system you have to have a voltage regulator. if not the system will overcharge the battery and short it out/melt it down.

you can run a total loss sytem which is what most road race bikes use. only problem is you have to charge the battery every time and you have a limited opperating time depending on what model it is
