Pears do not have roots. Pears are merely fruit which a pear tree, essentially, created in order to be eaten so that the seeds of this fruit can be spread around to propagate or grow other trees.
A pear tree, on the other hand, has a dominating tap root that extends deep below the surface of the ground. Fibrous roots will spread out from this tap root, but like any woody angiOSperm, it is anchored by a tap root.
