What kind of experience does one need to get a job designing graphics?

First, you need to get a bachelor's degree. Then you need to be hired. After about 3 years, you supposedly get a raise. I think that's it. You could be an assistant for an associate's degree, or a technician. I don't think you need work experience, just college.
