Why do Furry Writers Artist and Lovers like doing Wolf-Fox Couples?

In the Furry Fandom, the wolf and fox are very common species to bedepicted Many furry fans use these related two species as the first two of them to be used as avatars (also called a Fursona). This means that is is fairly common to see art of these two species to start with. Add to this the fact that they are both Candide (Dog like) species that can both operate in similar family units and the fact that the color of foxes usually the rust-colored red fox and the white-colored Arctic fox) are naturally complimentary colors to wolves (often depicted as Gray, brown and tan), and it is easy to see how the two species can work together. However, no matter how many times you see the wolf and fox pairing one will tend to see far more depictions of the wolf with wolves and foxes with foxes.
