How do we know St Paul's father was a tentmaker?

He wasn't a tent maker , but a rich Jew who was also a Roman Centurion. His name was Davidus, and his Roman appellation was Appius Tullius. He was the Roman Centurion mentioned in The Bible that built the Synagogue at Caesarea with his own money.
