How do you make sound louder without a microphone and an amplification system?

We can make sound louder by successive reflection between divergent planes (conical). For example, roll paper into a megaphone or cone shape. Or, cup your hands around your mouth.

Additionally, some structures create louder echos. For example, sometimes buildings within a city "bounce" vocalizations, similar to the echo produced in a mountain range or The Grand Canyon.
