What does a peace sign look like?

A peace sign is a complete circle with a vertical line inside (touching top to bottom). There are two smaller lines that branch from the center and extend downward at an angle to the bottom of the circle.

It is essentially a circle containing an inscribed inverted Y over I, resembling a simple "airplane" shape. The symbol was originally designed to replicate the semaphore letters N and D, standing for Nuclear Disarmament. (It has also been compared to the Nero Cross, or the Teutonic death rune.)
