Can you put a dodge 1976 318 in a 97 dodge truck?

You can, like you can with anything else, but it will take a lot of custom work. The mounts might be different, plus the older engine didn't need to rely on a computer to work, but the newer one does. The jist of what I'm saying is, it's gonna be a lot work, and expensive to, so it's best just to find something different, unless you're really fitted for it and have plently of time and money to do the job.
