I assume you mean echidna? If so, the echidna or spiny anteater is a small egg-laying mammal found in New Guinea and Australia. It is one of two extant members of the order Monotremes, along with the platypus.

Echidnas resemble hedgehogs or porcupines because they have spines covering their body, but are not closely related. These spines are made of keratin, the same substance that forms hair. In addition they have long snouts and strong short limbs with claws for digging. Most species feed in a similar way to anteaters by tearing open anthills or rotted wood and using their sticky tongue to lap up prey.

There are four living species of echidna, the Western Long-beaked Echidna, the Sir David's Long-beaked Echidna, the Eastern Long-beaked Echidna, and the Short-beaked Echidna. Species vary mostly in spine length and density, diet, habitat, size, and color. All species, except for the Short-beaked Echidna, are considered critically endangered due to habitat loss and hunting.
