When you first get your license can you only drive with relatives for the first six months?

Depends on the state in which you live. Normally you need a licensed driver in the passenger seat that is of a certain age, usually 21. Does not have to be a relative in most states, but may be in your state. Some states even have time limits on you driving. Contact your local DMV for your states laws regarding this.
