Why do some men hide their homosexuality by dating women?

If it's because they want children of their own I understand. Otherwise a gay man shouldn't date a woman just to hide his homosexuality. I'm attracted to men and I have a boyfriend. If I was a lesbian I wouldn't hide it by dating men because gay couples are accepted now. They've been officially accepted since 1990 but they were not allowed to get married. Gay marriages have been accepted since 2000. I wouldn't be ashamed to tell people. I'd express as long as they're not prejudiced.
