How does a Football pump work?

A football pump works by creating a pressure difference to inflate the ball. When the pump's handle is pushed down, air is drawn in through a one-way valve and then forced into the ball as the handle is pulled back. The one-way valve prevents air from escaping, allowing the ball to be inflated until it reaches the desired pressure. Most pumps also have a pressure gauge to help ensure the ball is inflated to the correct level.
