Yes. For example, if you bought an item at a Wal Mart in one city, and are now in another city and want to return it, you can bring it to the nearest Wal Mart. If you have the sales receipt, you can get a cash refund, but if you don't have it, they will issue you a Wal Mart card, which is good for purchases at Wal Mart only.
