Why can the sun be seen from earth?

Due to Newton's law of Motion, everything has the potential to keep moving forever, barring any impediments including friction and gravity. Light will continue traveling through space for infinite distances, therefore the fact that light can reach Earth from the Sun, though the sun is millions of miles away, is no feat.
