Why is reverse light blinking on your 2008 Yamaha big bear 400?

The reverse light will flash if you use the override button when the front differential is locked or if "the engine is being raced for 10 seconds or more".

Additionally if your speedometer is not working and the light flashes your speedometer cable may have been disconnected.
