Well...most of the characters with distinguishing features are girls, at least in the kindergarten books. The first grade books have more boys. I think your choices are that big meanie Jim from kindergarten, and here three friends in the first grade books (I forget their names..its been a while since I've read Junie B. Jones). Find out who your son wants to be, then leaf through the books with that character in them to look for something to emulate. Obviously, they are kids in normal clothes, but at some point they probably mention a hairstyle (I think one kid spiked his hair), a shirt color, etc. Look for the pictures of the character, too. Also, props will help. I think Jim had a backpack with lots of zippers, and a valentine in one book. Once again, though, its been a while since I've read those books. Read or at least flip through them, please. Also, ask your son, since he probably knows the books better than you. Good Luck! I hope I've answered your question!
