The United Kingdom has hosted six Commonwealth Games: 1934 (London), 1958 (Cardiff), 1970 and 1986 (Edinburgh), 2002 (Manchester) and 2014 (Glasgow).
They also hosted the 1911 Inter-Empire Championships in London, which were the precursor to the British Empire Games (now known as the Commonwealth Games)
