93-97' Altima's are about the same. I have had several 93's so: Disconect battery! Disconect three connections on alternater, (plug, power and ground) On top of alternator, (left side when facing enging and parallel to pulley) is a bracket with a 12mm size, 3" long bolt; this is the tensioning bolt, back it out and remove the little bracket it passes through. -Facing the engine, to the left and right side of the alternator and below it ar two 14mm bolts, loose both of these. -Push/rotate alternator aft. This loosens the serpentine belt enough, (barely)to remove the belt from the pulley. -Remove both 14mm bolts and remove alternator. Don't need to remove anything else, it will wiggle out. Install is reverse of removal. Once serpenting belt is tensioned up, (should deflect about a 1/4 when tight) Run engine for 10 minutes; charge light should be on when ignition key is in the "on" position then should go out once engine is started. After 10 minute run, shut off engine and recheck belt tension.
