How could Stanley carry zero so far?

In my opinion the main reason why Stanley Yelnats was able to carry Zero was because of determination. Stanley was determined to save the dying fellow and find a way out of the nightmare they were set in.

Second would be hope, Stanley believed in and he had the hope that they had a chance and that there was water on the big thumb. Third factor is friendship, the ship that will never sink. Zero and Stanley had a friendship so strong that Stanley couldn't just leave him behind, leave him to die of thirst and starvation. So i think that is all... if u guys out there if u think its not good enough please type another one which is much better than mine and submit it. Thank you. :)
