The Rev-counter on my Peugeot 206 keeps stopping for so long then starting to work again.How do i fix this problem?

Most are controlled via the output from the alternator -

You will need to check all connections on the alternator

first. If there is no suspect.damages/loose connections

then its likely the console/display will need replacement

due to wear.
