What does Odysseus mean when he says no man can avoid the eye of Helios?

When Odysseus says that no man can avoid the eye of HeliOS, he is referring to the all-seeing nature of the sun god HeliOS. In Greek mythology, HeliOS was believed to see and know everything that happens on Earth.
