When You are involved in a collision and your pleasure craft is flooding. What should you do?

If your pleasure craft is flooding after a collision, immediately assess the situation and ensure all passengers are safe and wearing life jackets. Activate your vessel’s bilge pump if available, and use any available means to stem the flooding, such as plugging holes or using buckets. Signal for help using flares or your radio, and if the vessel is in imminent danger of sinking, prepare to abandon ship and move to a safe location, such as a nearby boat or shore.
